Il Master in breve
The AI-driven Business Models Master’s program is a 2nd level Master Program* promoted by the School of Economics and by ICRIM, the International Center of Research in International Management.
The AI-driven Business Models Master arises from the growing relevance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the business context and the launch of the elective course by the same title within the MIB – Master in International Business, Executive class, established for the 2024/25 a.y. in collaboration with Microsoft Italy.
AI-driven Business Models aims to meet the growing demand for advanced AI competencies in business management. The program is designed to train leaders capable of integrating AI into organizational decision-making and strategic processes, as well as professionals who can implement the functional and process transformation driven by AI.
The program will offer a multidisciplinary approach, combining advanced theory, case studies, and practical projects, ensuring participants gain a comprehensive and immediately applicable education.
With a keen eye on and building upon the existing academic and professional training programs focusing on the technical, scientific, cultural, ethical and legal complexities of Artificial Intelligence, the AI-driven Business Models program is situated within an additional perspective, specifically in the business and economic context. As a matter of fact, the program delves into the practical applications of AI in defining business models, with a focus on key sectors such as supply chain management, marketing, human resources, and technical innovation. Additionally, through the collaboration with the AI-driven Business Transformation Lab, participants will gain access to advanced research resources, concrete experiences and networking opportunities with experts and leading companies in the AI field.

The aim of the program is to offer AI-driven Business Models students a various and richer career, providing the opportunity to work in varied roles and geographies. The occupational opportunities for students graduated in this Master’s could be listed among:
Multinational Enterprises - Roles in AI-driven strategy, operations, and innovation within cross-functional teams.
- Consulting Firms - Support in AI strategy, process design, and ethical compliance for client transformation.
- SMEs - Guide responsible AI adoption as internal innovators or external advisors.
- Public and Non-Profit Sectors - Opportunities in policy, digital innovation, and AI impact assessment
La didattica del Master
Programme schedule & structure
All students admitted to the AI-driven Business Models Master’s program will take part in a 12-month, part-time program composed of three teaching periods. It delivers up to 60 ECTS CREDITS and a “2nd Level Specializing Master’s Degree” (level 8 of the European Qualifications Framework – EQF).
The AI-driven Business Models Master is structured around two complementary learning paths: AI in Strategy and AI in Action, each composed of six integrated modules.
The AI in Strategy path provides a solid foundation in the strategic, legal, ethical, and economic dimensions of AI. It equips participants with the vision and analytical tools to understand how AI reshapes business models and competitive landscapes.
The AI in Action path focuses on operational implementation and concrete experiences, offering a hands-on approach to applying AI across key business functions - from marketing and HR to operations and many sector-specific innovation examples.
Together, these two paths ensure a full-spectrum learning journey, blending long-term strategic approach with practical execution. By combining strategic vision and execution, this dual structure gives participants the tools to lead AI transformation with a strong foundation and practical insight.
