Master in Aviation Business Administration (AMBA)

The Aviation MBA program is an intensive course offered by the LUISS Business School in Rome and the Ecole Nationale Aviation Civile (E.N.A.C.) of Toulouse.

The mission of the Aviation MBA is to provide candidates with a complete managerial education experience through management tools and techniques useful to compete in the international Aviation environment.

The Aviation MBA aims to provide a solid and specific education for people seeking a career development within institutions and companies related to the aviation industry (manufacturers, aeronautical companies and their suppliers, aircraft management companies).

In particular, the program provides participants with a general curriculum as well as with the opportunity to earn business or functional specialization, and an international outlook at the Aviation industry.

The program is based on the belief that the Aviation MBA students should acquire a deep knowledge of the basic skills and concepts in all functional areas of management, and that each candidate should be more than just a specialist.

Accordingly, the Aviation MBA program offers some required courses together with a selection of electives. This allows the candidate to develop a more flexible curriculum, and focus on a particular area of interest.

The Aviation MBA program lasts 12 months:

• During the first 8 months, participants attend the didactic courses, either in Rome or Toulouse;
• During the final months, participants work on field projects.

Candidates are enrolled in the Aviation MBA program primarily on the basis of their academic record, professional experiences, personal motivation and knowledge of the English language. Passion for aviation matters is considered a major plus.

The selection test consists of:

• Assessment of educational and professional background
• Interviews

Candidates are required to send the following documentation
by December 18, 2009:

1. application form + € 105 fee
2. certificate of degree
3. one photo (passport format)
4. any reference of employment or internships
5. TOEFL/ TOIC certificate (where available)
6. GMAT certificate (where applicable)

The cost of tuition is € 19.000,00 + VAT (20%), broken down into four payments. Tuition includes the materials and bibliography readings and access to all LUISS Guido Carli and Enac facilities. It includes also flight transfer (Rome-Toulouse) and accommodation in Toulouse.

Financial Aid & Funding
Companies in aviation industries are expected to sponsor the participants in the program.

A Placement & Careers activity has been set up by Luiss Business School to support AMBA students in approaching the job market.
