- harmonisation of laws at the international and regional level (including the framework of UNCITRAL, WTO and UNIDROIT);
- sources of law in international trade;
- legal aspects of international contract negotiation;
- main types of contracts in international trade: sale of goods, technology licence agreements,
- joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, financing agencies, trademarks and patents, agency and distribution, state contracts, construction and engineering contracts etc.;
- legal constraints to commercial strategies and antitrust regulations with particular reference to the EU framework;
- modes of payment and international investment guarantees;
- arbitration and dispute resolution.
The course adopts a flexible training approach. Active teaching methods are based on lectures, performance-oriented exercises, case studies, role plays and interaction among lecturers, tutor and participants.
