The Master in Tourism Management starts on 24th of October 2016 and lasts 12 months based on lectures and Field Project. The selection process has already started. LUISS Business School Master in Tourism Management gives you the possibility to live an enthusiastic learning experience that will enhance the personal attitude towards tourism with a decisive boost to a brilliant career in the world of tourism. This relevant growth, together with the availability of new technologies, will determine deep changes in the structure of the industry, more intense competition and at the same time, the widespread of new forms of cooperation among public and private actors, as well as small companies and big international groups.

The quality of human resources will be even more important than in the past for the companies' success. This quality is based on the mix of capabilities required to understand the new driving forces in the tourism, to exploit opportunities offerd by technologies and particularly by the web, to effectively develop the network among different actors and assets relevant to generate complex tourist products.

The Master gives concepts, technical knowledge and operative skills useful to develop those capabilities and make students become a successfull manager, professional or entrepreneur in the tourism industry. It will provide students with learning not to simply enhance knowledge but to play relevant roles in the organisations involved in tourism.

Finalità

The course trains professionals in the Tourism Industry, appealing to technical and managerial knowledge that will be able to enhance a "great potential" field especially nationwide.

The curriculum provides general management courses joined by specilised discipline, related to the running of industry and to the specific functions within the Tourism field.

Participants will extend their culture through the acquisition of analytic, decision making power and leadership capabilities.

To completion, students enrich their educational path by values such as ethics, social responsability and the enhancement of the entrepreneurship.

The programmes is divided in 4 terms. To access each term, students are required to successfully pass exams.

Students begin with Preparatory Courses and then focus on the Core Courses, the Specialisation Courses and different Lab activities in order to guarantee a gradual professional and personal growth fro each student. In the final months of the programme, the Field Project will allow students to put their knowledge into practice.

The Field Project represents an opportunity for students aiming to achieve the skills acquired throughout the course. It is an essential part of the training programme.

The Field Project can take several forms:

> Company-Project work: students are coached by a company tutor during the development of tasks related to specific business scopes.

> Entrepreneurial Project: students develop a business plan supported by the Faculty.

> Research Project: on specific subject in agreement with the Faculty.

Tuition fees for the programme amount to EUR 11.000. Payment is made in 3 installements of: 1. EUR 5.500 2. EUR 3.000 3. EUR 2.500 Tuitions include material and access to all LUISS facilities. LUISS Business School offers, deemed deserving candidates up to 3 partial scholarship of the tuition feed (up to 50% of the total amount). A Joint Commettee will assign the scholarships based on studentrs curricula and admission test performance.
